Dubai, United Arab Emirates. — Dubai is once again setting new standards in the international art scene. The Arte Museum Dubai is not a classic museum. Instead of rigid exhibitions, it offers a completely digital world of experience in which art, sound and movement intertwine. Visitors walk through differently designed theme rooms that are constantly changing — with projections, holograms, interactive installations and illuminated 360-degree scenarios.

Vogt and Paap were particularly impressed by the way the museum dissolves the boundaries between artwork and observer. Every projection reacts to movement, every lighting scene looks as if it were growing, breathing, or pulsing in real time. “Digital art is not just shown here — it is experienced,” is her assessment. “You not only have the feeling of becoming part of a virtual composition yourself, but you can also actively shape it with some works of art. It's a fantastic moment to see your own picture on the screen.”
The theme rooms range from futuristic landscapes and abstract light installations to digital reconstructions of natural elements such as water, fire or flora. Many works come from internationally renowned digital artists who use the museum as a stage to create immersive narrative worlds far away from traditional forms of art.

The Arte-Museum Dubai also plays an important role for the global art market: It shows how rapidly digital art is developing and what new opportunities are opening up for artists to realize their visions independently of classical materials. The combination of creativity, high-tech and spatial presentation makes the museum a magnet for visitors from all over the world.
