Interview with Anna Schwarz

1. Career & Artistic Journey

Do you remember the moment when you realized that art would become a central part of your life? Which experiences, encounters, or perhaps even challenges have most strongly shaped your path and your artistic style?

Perhaps since childhood I knew that I would dedicate my life to creativity, and that creativity would become my meaning and my way of living.

For me, difficulties have always been a challenge and an opportunity to learn — to seek out people who can teach me what I have not yet mastered.

This mindset has given me a powerful impulse for growth since I was very young, and it continues to guide me today.

I am deeply inspired by a phrase once said by Salvador Dalí:

"Every morning upon awakening, I experience a supreme pleasure — the pleasure of being Salvador Dalí — and I ask myself in rapture, what wonderful thing will this Salvador Dalí accomplish today?"

Perhaps this is exactly how we should approach each new day — asking ourselves with excitement:

What will I create today?
What can I bring into this world?

To me, that is pure genius.

2. Influences & Inspiration

What inspires you on a deeper level – certain people, cultures, moods, or inner processes? What role do personal experiences play in your work? And what advice would you give to artists who are still searching for their own artistic identity?

Since childhood, my greatest inspiration has been my teachers and my unstoppable desire for knowledge, along with a deep commitment to constantly improving my skills.

Today, my inspiration comes from nature and music. And perhaps, most importantly, I have come to realize that I am also my own source of inspiration. I feel a strong desire to understand myself more deeply, and drawing has become a beautiful and powerful way to do that.

Creativity allows me not only to express myself, but also to discover new layers within who I am.

3. Your Understanding of Art

What does art mean to you personally? Is it an expression of emotion, a dialogue with the world, or perhaps a form of self-reflection? What feelings or thoughts do you hope to evoke in those who view your work?

For me, art is a dialogue — my dialogue with another person who, through color, form, and drawing, can better understand themselves, discover something new, or simply feel inspired and begin to create.

4. The Greatest Reward as an Artist

What is the greatest "reward" of your artistic work for you personally – an emotional moment, a particular reaction from the audience, or something else entirely?

The greatest reward for me is the inner desire to create and the genuine pleasure I find in doing it.

5. Future & Vision

What are you currently working on with special dedication? Is there a dream project or vision you are determined to realize in the coming years?

I am currently working on the Art Picnic project, and I truly hope it will become international. I would love to teach as many people as possible, share my experience, and inspire them to create and reconnect with nature.

In my view, when our mind is in a creative state, both our body and our spiritual essence find harmony. In that state, a person can feel more love — and in doing so, make the world just a little bit better.
